  12.     to the whole can of worms opened up by all this "Unicode" nonsense?

  14. We have speculated about a Unicode version of Icon.  As I recall we figured
  15. it would take over half a year, full time, for somebody who's already an
  16. expert on the implementation to convert Icon to Unicode and do it "right".
  17. That's not likely to happen.

  19. There are some intriguing questions about a Unicode implementation.
  20. For example, should the representation of csets change?  If so, how?
  21. The current representation would cost 8K bytes (64K bits) for each cset
  22. of Unicode.
